Dave Harrington debuted on the Irish Radio scene in December 2000, while still an Applied Science student in the Dublin Institute of Technology, landing a weekend show on East Coast FM. With drive, ambition and a love for radio, Dave soon took on the reigns of East Coast FM’s Breakfast Show, leading the show to the number one position in the region. During this time he was also promoted to the position of Assistant Programme Director. Recognising his raw talent and fresh style, fledgling Dublin youth station Spin 1038 prominently featured Dave in their daytime schedule, where he successfully drove the mid-morning show to unprecedented JNLR radio ratings success.
