Laura Fares was born in Argentina and moved to London, UK when she was 21. After graduating from The London College of Music and Media, she started off her career in the music industry as a session drummer to some of the biggest international pop stars in the industry, touring the world performing with Ricky Martin, Taio Cruz, Sam Sparro, Natasha Bedingfield, The Wanted and many others. Laura also toured the world as an Electro DJ for 8 years. In 2011 she funded Aztec Records Ltd with Ariel Amejeiras (Head of Sound at many West End Musicals), with the aim to discover, develop and release up and coming pop and electronic artists worldwide.

In 2014 Aztec Music Publishing was formed as a way of managing and expanding their catalogue more efficiently and pursue placements on film, tv and adverts. Aztec Music Publishing has provided music to international brands like Adidas, Mercedes Benz, Victoria’s Secret, ASOS and many others and has placed music in several USA tv shows.
