An up-and-coming tastemaker with a musician’s background, Matt Linsky landed in LA with no career prospects, no contacts, and no f*cking clue how the music industry works. Influenced and inspired by feats of elite musicianship, he sought opportunities to showcase his guitar-shreddin’ skills whilst learning the ropes of music publishing and synchronization licensing. Luckily, he was fortunate enough to learn from one of the best tv/film music gurus around: John Anderson of Hunnypot.
For the next few years Matt worked his way up at Hunnypot from intern to Director of Creative, and although as a guitarist he had a number of thrilling gigs, tours, and sessions with Billboard charting artists, first call session players, and kooks of all shapes and sizes, he eventually realized he enjoyed signing and guiding bands a good deal more than he’d anticipated.
Currently at the North Music Group, Matt has the distinct pleasure of working with some of the most talented and level-headed musicians, writers, and producers in the industry and is proud to posses a slightly more enhanced f*cking clue as to how the music industry works than he had before (but only slightly).
