There are few people in the industry who appreciate (or admit) that busking is one of the most important tools a performer can use to earn a living doing what you love. It is Nick Broad’s mission to change this, by celebrating and supporting buskers worldwide. He has filmed and interviewed buskers in 40 cities in 30 countries on 5 continents; built a quickly growing network of buskers in 250 cities in 55 countries; coordinated and co-produced busker festivals; launched a QR code service giving buskers a way of getting PayPal donations in the streets and linking their in person and online audiences; and started the first large-scale, latitudinal study into busking policy around the world.
