Sulinna Ong Orpheus started her career in the tech industry working as Online Producer for Sony Electronics, working on AIBO, the first consumer-grade AI robotics project. She then moved on to the music industry, becoming International Marketing Manager at SonyBMG in London, where she won the 2006 Best International Marketing Campaign Award from UK Music Trade publication Music Week for Il Divo’s debut album (over 6 million units sold internationally).
After SonyBMG, she moved into management of UK chart-topping act Kasabian, which led to her being asked to become Director of International Marketing & Artist Development at Live Nation Artists and being involved in one of the early “multi-rights” entertainment business models working on deals with superstar artists Madonna, Jay Z, and Roc Nation. In 2008 she set up her own management company, overseeing the careers of Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Huey Morgan, repositioning Huey into a successful career as a broadcaster. During this time she also acted as a marketing consultant for major acts such as The Rolling Stones and Barbra Streisand. Since the end of 2013 Sulinna has been Head of Marketing for revolutionary new music video startup company WholeWorldBand, founded by legendary director Kevin Godley. The company recently won the BUMA Music Meets Tech Award at leading music industry conference Eurosonic for the most innovative technical advance in the industry.
