youbloom@Dublin is back!
Our second year event will be held June 13/14/15th under the title of “Beautiful Vision”. 100 bands from around the world will play over three nights at venues in Dublin’s famed Dame District www.damedistrict.com .
As in 2013, the youbloom A&R team will choose the 100 multi-cultural and multi-genre artists. If you are an artist, Apply to Play before March 16th 2014.
The conference will take place during the day on June 14/15th at the College of Surgeons in St. Stephens Green (easy walking distance from the Dame District) and will include one on one Speed Sessions with industry experts, Panels, MasterClasses, Keynote Speech and Learning Rooms. Speaker confirmed to date include
Nigel Grainge – A&R legend, signed Thin Lizzy, Boomtown Rats, Sinead O’Connor, Waterboys, Steve Miller Band, 10cc, World Party.
Alex Von Soos – Songwriter/Producer, (All Saints, Atomic Kitten and many other artists worldwide, selling more than 5 million records in the process).

NOTE: Artists no longer need to set up a profile on youbloom in order to apply to play at youbloom@Dublin. Previously this was a requirement on our old website which included profiles.

Why we charge an Apply to Play Fee
In the interest of openness and clarity we have written a piece to explain the fee to Apply to Play.
youbloom is a continually growing team of artists, advisers, experienced people from all aspects of the industry from label, PR, management, business, marketing, production, touring etc. and though the fee might seem arbitrary, it is as low as it can be, it covers only a fraction of the cost of what goes into the processing the applications.
youbloom is a collaborative project that strives to bring people together and utilise the great experience of people who have worked within the industry for years. Many provide their services voluntarily or only for direct costs incurred because of a passionate belief in developing a platform for emerging unsigned artists.
In 2014, all youbloom@Dublin gigs are free for fans to enter, the project costs include production, engineers, bringing in speakers, locations and marketing. Many volunteers and people are involved in the developing the idea in an effort to bring in creative and business people from all corners of the world to meet and network and hopefully develop relationships for the future.
