We are a collective of artists, musicians and industry mentors. We share our passion for the arts and music. We share our resources to make sure that every musician who should make it has the structure and support to break into the music business, to build a sustainable career, to realize their dreams.
The youbloom Music Awards began in 2010 primarily as an online event with fan voting and high profile judges led by Bob Geldof. youbloom formed an A&R team that ran alongside the roll out of our live program in the UK, Ireland and Argentina.
These combined elements evolved into the first youbloom@Dublin in June 2013. We hosted a two day industry led music conference and 90 bands from 11 countries played over three nights. The conference included music industry icons Dave Robinson of Stiff Records who gave the keynote address, Tommy Silverman of the New Music Seminar and producer Rupert Hine. Alan McGee, the legendary manager of Oasis, Primal Scream and The Libertines was the keynote speaker at youbloom@Dublin 2014 where 110 bands from 20 countries played to venues in Dublin’s Dame District.
We are bringing our proven formula for fun and success to LA on the 13/14 & 15th November.

The Keynote speaker is Nigel Grainge.
Now in case you’ve never heard of him, try Google, then take a deep breath. Yes, this is the same guy. The one who signed Sinead O’Connor, Thin Lizzy, The Waterboys, 10cc, the Boomtown Rats and many more…. And yes, you can see him for twenty five little dollars. Fifteen dollars if you’re a student or lucky enough to be under twenty one.
We have over 80 bands from all over the planet gigging at venues in the North East LA (Highland/Cypress Park, South Pasadena and Pasadena) part of town. La Cuevita, Cafe Nela, The Olde Town Pub, Griffins of Kinsale and The Highland Park Ebell Club will be home to our rock n’rollers playing from Nov 13th to 15th. All the gigs are free so come down and feel the festival.
We have masterclasses with industry specialists, panels on touring, busking, promoting, sync. How to create revenue streams, how to navigate the business to suit your music, DIY strategies and our special keynote speaker on top of all that.
If you love it, be part of it. That’s our motto and the reason why we’ve introduced our “Adopt A Band” campaign. This is where LA-based bands are helping visiting bands out with accommodation, equipment and onsite help. Visiting bands will then return the favor in return when the LA bands visit their cities.
If you’re serious about the music business, then get your rock star ass to this event. The music business is just as tricky as any other industry to crack. youbloom can help you. We want to empower you to be successful, sustainable and viable in an ever changing scene.
