Their debut album Orange Car turned heads with its sheer ambition and eclecticism, earning two BBC Introducing ‘Track of the Week’ accolades with singles Flood and Better Than You Know. Backed by Creative Scotland and a successful crowdfunding campaign, racecar released their second album, Pink Car, on March 7th (2025) to wide critical acclaim. The release of the album in 2025 was followed by a sell-out launch show and a string of successful festival appearances, including a BBC session at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, a mainstage performance at Kelburn Garden Party, and a headline show at Fringe by the Sea.
