Stuart Clark is a fine broadcaster and journalist, who contributes widely to radio through his involvement with Hot Press. Originally a buccaneering DJ, with experience on Radio Caroline and The Voice Of Peace, Clark arrived in Ireland during the great pirate wars. He went legit with Radio Limerick 95FM, and his attentions increasingly turned towards journalism with a well-respected column for the Limerick Tribune. He moved to Dublin in 1990, and has since risen through the ranks at Hot Press to become Deputy Editor. Apart from his sterling work for Hot Press, he charms the nation as a regular contributor to Matt Cooper’s The Last Word on Today FM and Sean Moncrieff on Newstalk, and as a talking head on various RTÉ, TV3 and Setanta Sports TV programmes. His words of wisdom have graced the pages of various non-muso publications, including Food And Wine, EasyJet, The Sunday Business Post, and Ritz Hotel And Casino. He lectures at Dublin’s Pulse Recording College. The past 12 months have found Clark interviewing Morrissey, Sinéad O’Connor, John Lydon, The Script and Paul Weller. Away from the music, he has spent time with former Everton captain Phil Neville (a big moment for the die-hard Everton fan), Rob Heffernan and James McClean. Clark was selected as one of the experts for the Arthur Guinness Projects and sat on the expert panel for Amplify. He has written extensively about drugs for Hot Press and is a director of the drugs lobbying group, NORML Ireland.
