His career started in Strategic Marketing at Universal Music in London, before moving across to Sony Music to join the A&R team where he worked on records from Bullet For My Valentine, Eagles of Death Metal and In Case of Fire amongst others.
He joined Reverb / XL Talent as a Producer Manager where he managed a collection of successful record producers who worked with clients such as Ellie Goulding, Prodigy, Laura Marling and Paolo Nuttini.
When PledgeMusic was founded in 2009, Richard was one of the first hire employees, specifically brought in to acquire talent for the new company.
He has spent the last 6 years bringing clients to the company including Weezer, Megadeth, Interpol, 311, Slash, Macy Gray, Kate Nash, Scott Weiland, Black Veil Brides, Sevendust, Sum 41 and many others.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to establish the West Coast office.
