Other notable administration clients of MAM are Tena Clark, Shawn Clement, Harry Shearer and Judith Owen. Kraft-Engel Management, Neophonic, Format Entertainment, Riptide Music and Latin Music Specialists have also relied on the expertise provided by the MAM team in recent years. In addition, MAM is proud to represent the MusiCares Foundation providing clearance services for their most recent Person of the Year Tributes including Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Carole King and Bruce Springsteen.
In 2014, Music Asset Management formed a joint venture with one of LA’s top independent publishers & creative powerhouse, Pulse Recording, to form Pulse Publishing Administration LLC (PPA) representing a roster of over 90 catalogs including #1 singles by Bonnie McKee (Katy Perry), Tim Pagnotta (Neon Trees) and Drew Pearson (Philip Phillips), along with more recent signings Christian ‘Bloodshy’ Karlsson (Gallantis) and songwriter/artist, BØRNS. Pulse Publishing Administration oversees Pulse’s joint venture with Creative Nation, a leading Nashville music publishing company.
Prior to launching Music Asset Management, Mary Jo was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Music Publishing at Fox Filmed Entertainment and was charged with overseeing the publishing and master recording catalogs for 20th Century Fox, Fox Broadcasting and affiliated production units. Before joining Fox, Mary Jo was a key executive at Saban Entertainment and at ASCAP where she began her career in the entertainment business.
Mary Jo serves on the Songwriter Hall of Fame Board of Directors and is Chairman of West Coast events for the organization. Mennella is a past President of the Association of Independent Music Publishers; past Chairman of the City of Hope’s Music & Entertainment Industry Group and was a past recipient of the Women in Music Touchstone Award for her contributions to the music industry.
