Clare Means

Clare Means is a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter.  She is known in the LA music scene for her smoky voice, catchy melodies and thought provoking lyrics.  She has released three albums, “White Bamboo,” “War for Love,” and also an album of original children’s music called “The Bumblebee Band.”  She has a fourth album coming out this year.

Clare has independently sold thousands of copies of her albums while playing shows at various venues across Los Angeles and touring the US, Canada and Europe.  She has also made a name for herself as one of LA’s favorite street performers and she performs regularly on the Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade.  In September of 2015 Clare began periscoping her performances.  She eventually made it onto the Periscope trending list (a few times) and now has over 60,000 followers on the live streaming app.

This summer Clare’s newest single “Danger” made it to spot #14 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts.  The title track from her album “White Bamboo” was placed on UCLA Radio’s “Best Unsigned Artists Compilation.”  Her song “Everybody’s Room But Mine,” was featured in American Songwriter Magazine (AmericanSongwriter.com). “Everybody’s Room But Mine” was also a semi-finalist in the “International Songwriting Competition” and a finalist in a lyric contest in American Songwriter Magazine as well.  Clare has also been featured in many popular online blogs and magazines including “Buzzbands.LA,”  “Yay LA!,” and “Digital Music News.”
