He began his career producing local Swedish talent as a partner with the leading independent label Silence Records. He also produced, movies and two television shows with Robert Broberg for his own production company, and he co-founded BILDCIRCUS, Scandinavia’s largest multi-media arts extravaganza, a travelling circus with music, theater and art.
When Andersson relocated to New York from Sweden in 1983, he co-founded BLACKMARKET Records label, the pioneering label for dance-oriented world music, and subsequently one of his productions, “Highlife” by Sonny Okosuns, was featured in Jonathan Demme’s movie, “Something Wild”.
He has produced over 100 albums, launched the first MTV style television show for Russian network TV, and has negotiated licensing agreements as an international consultant for all major record companies and leading independent companies.
