Hamlet has worked in the music industry since his teenage years, when he first toured with acts like Meatloaf, Status Quo and UB40. He trained and worked as a recording studio engineer in Scandinavia where he also honed his craft as a working songwriter and lyricist. Upon returning to his native Ireland he ran an analogue based recording and mixing studio.
Through his management work with SSV, Ireland’s leading provider of video production to large scale concerts, Hamlet picked up the award for ‘Irish AV Company Of The Year’. He has spent over 15 years working in production on the biggest concerts and festivals in Ireland including shows like Rihanna, David Guetta, Kings Of Leon, Slane, Longitude Festival, Electric Picnic and hundreds more.
Hamlet is the driving force behind ‘The Song Room’, one of Ireland’s longest-running showcases for Irish songwriters and now a resource for song placement opportunities and learning for unsigned songwriters. Hamlet also runs The Song Studio, a Dublin city centre production facility with Ireland’s first professional collaborative songwriting space.”
