Martin Nolan runs MPI Bands out of Dublin Ireland, a Band Management Company and Booking Agency specialising in touring bands in Ireland and worldwide, He also runs Essential Artists a Booking Agency out of Nashville touring artists accross North America.
MPI Bands Manage Trad Band Altan, Singer Frances Black and Luka Bloom and are Co- Managers of guitar band Raglans, and The King Kong Company. On the Agency side, MPI represents Keith Barry, Sharon Shannon, Shane Mac Gowan, The High Kings, Mary Black, Paul Brady, We Banjo 3, Socks in the Frying Pan, Mary Coughlan, The Saw Doctors, Hermitage Green, The Original Rudeboys.
The US arm of the business represents The High Kings, Sharon Shannon, Tommy Fleming, Socks in the Frying Pan, Jig Jam and Grammy Award Winning Alison Brown. MPI are in the process of opening a UK office this Summer.
Martin graduated from Trinity College and in the late 90’s and spent some time interning with a Booking Agency LWP before setting up a company with Michael O Connor who had, had success with Boy Band OTT. In 2004 Martin created MPI and set about building a team of people to expand the company including Michael Lennox who had been a member of the band Power of Dreams. In 2007, with the help of Lennox, MPI expanded into the Wrestling Market producing many very succesful arena tours around Europe. Over the years MPI began building partnerships around the world to open up new markets for its artists. The roster continued to expand and MPI have booked shows accross 5 continents. In 2013 they opened up their US office initally to book Irish bands in the US and are slowly expanding to add US bands to its roster.
