Sydney Alston has 20 years of experience in all facets of the music business which has made him an in-demand music resource for artists in Los Angeles, and around the country. He started his career at sixteen years old playing with bands, and stayed on the road as a professional trumpet and bass player for the next ten years. In 1999 he started his management and production career, where he produced songs for TV and Film, set up major label showcases and produced and promoted independent records throughout the country. In 2001 he was hired at Discmakers the industry leader in CD and DVD Manufacturing. Disc Makers has been the predominant partner to independent artists for over 60 years. Sydney quickly rose through the ranks and became the sole executive in the Los Angeles branch of Disc Makers.
As a manager Sydney has set up many Major Label and Publishing showcases with companies like UMG, Warner Brothers, Capitol, Sony, Sony ATV, Warner Chappel, Cherry Tree Records, Innerscope and many other major music companies. As a direct result of his efforts he was responsible for getting 16 yr old Major Myjah signed to a lucrative recording contract with Warner Brothers records in 2013. One of the producers he manages Frederik Thaae produced a song that won the Eurovision award for best song which propelled Emily Deforesters Only Tear Drops to #1 in 11 countries. Specializing in artist development he has helped many young artist achieve the goal of becoming full time professional artist touring the world.
