Bilrus

Bilrus is an experimental rock band characterized by its exploratory attitude, the combination of elements from different styles, such as alternative rock and electronica and the dialogue between conventional and experimental. The band is composed of João Robim, Nuno Biltes and Márcio Silva. Names like Radiohead, Tigran Hamasyan, Sigur Rós are some of his most notable influences. "I Just Want To Be David" is Bilrus' debut EP, released in February 2024 and mixed in 3D audio. The album "Live at Maus Hábitos" followed and the first studio album will be released in July 2024.

Holland born, London based Sarah-Jayne Riedel, “SJ”, fronts the just-out-of-the-gate alternative rock project, Dutch Mustard. Her new EP Beauty, has received support from Lauren Laverne and Steve Lamacq on 6 Music. Last year she released her debut EP An Interpretation of Depersonalisation, which was quickly featured by the BBC, getting airplay on Radio 1’s Future Artists and being selected by none other than rock's enduring sage Iggy Pop on 6 Music. Dutch Mustard produces a sound that is as dreamy as it is heavy, finding that middle ground in guitar tone between fuzzy and pristine. Riedel writes all the songs and demos most the instruments herself in her bedroom before bringing in other musicians. It becomes a collaborative project, driven always by SJ’s vision and creativity at the helm.

A Canadian singer/songwriter with international vision, Kelly Besd favours moody, bassy sounds influenced by R&B and rock. Originally from Edmonton, Natalia is now based out of Calgary. Chefbeatz has claimed his position as Calgary’s very own trifecta of AfroSwing. As an artist who produces and song writes, Chef is pioneering a sound the world didn’t know it was missing. Born in Bo Town, Sierra Leone, Chef traveled through Western Africa – Guinea, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast before making Cow Town the last stop on that journey. Chef masterfully mixes his African roots with his western ties by fusing together Hip-Hop /R&B/ Pop and traditional West African sounds, this evolution and unique integration of cultures resulted in Afro Swing’s hottest new sound. From Jazzy melodies to traditional African sounds that ride the familiar sounds of Hip-Hop percussions – it is safe to say that Chef is more than willing to push the boundaries of music production as a storyteller who explores from depth and movement – and everything in between. "Jaded Tears" is the most recent release and also his first full length album to be released. The album was written during the initial & first lockdown/quarantine. At the time there were so many emotions and so many things to reflect on. This album is his most personal release to date as he opens up about; anxiety, depression, medication, long-distance relationships, and the act of moving on. He has new music planned every month until 2023.
